Here are just a few of the projects your membership will help us to realize in the near future:

Jupiter Hammon Project Phase II: This next phase will expand upon the themes that emerged during Phase I by conducting stakeholder meetings and interactive workshops to further explore ways to reinterpret our Joseph Lloyd Manor House.

The Art of Edward Lange: A new publication initiative that begins with a survey of all extant work by the 19th-century genre painter Edward Lange. Immediate outcomes from this initial reconnaissance phase will be a publicly accessible digital database and virtual exhibition of the artist’s Long Island work.

The Biannual List of Endangered Historic Places: A signature program, our endangered places list helps nascent local preservation efforts get off the ground through a formalized nomination process. Successful nominators become preservation partners who receive free prioritized technical assistance and advocacy support.

Your Preservation Long Island membership validates our mission and helps us to move forward in our efforts to advance greater understanding, celebration, and preservation of Long Island’s cultural heritage.

THANK YOU!
