Joseph Lloyd Manor

Completed in 1767 for Joseph Lloyd, the second lord of the Manor of Queens Village, Joseph Lloyd Manor was the seat of a 3,000 acre agricultural estate. Jupiter Hammon (1711–before 1806), one of the first published African American writers, was one of the many people of African descent enslaved at the site. Tours available June-October. Old Methodist Church

The Cold Spring Harbor Methodist Episcopal Church was built in 1842 and served its congregation for 149 years. After the church closed its doors, Preservation Long Island acquired the property in 1996 for adaptive reuse as its headquarters and gallery.
