Many thanks to all the friends, colleagues, members, donors and sponsors who made our 2022 Annual Benefit on June 24th at Peacock Point a huge success, especially the Davison family, our generous hosts!

We are pleased to share highlights from the gathering in the image carousel below. The entire photo gallery from the event can be viewed online HERE.

On a perfect summer evening, in a stunning location overlooking the Long Island Sound, over two hundred supporters enjoyed stellar views, cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and live music by the Ray’s No Quitter band.

Benefit attendees received updates about the work of Preservation Long Island from our President, Henry C. Clark, and Executive Director, Alexandra Parsons Wolfe. The 2022 Preservation Award for Project Excellence was presented by Sarah Kautz, our Director of Preservation, to Bentel & Bentel Architects and Webb Institute. Presented every other year, our Preservation Awards recognize individuals, organizations, and projects that demonstrate extraordinary achievement in fields related to historic preservation on Long Island.

The program included a talk by Harry Davison about the history of the Peacock Point site and restoration plans for the Olmstead Brothers designed sunken garden. Afterward, guests were invited to tour the gardens with Mr. Davison and a spectacular sunset brought the 2022 Country House Benefit Party to a close.
