Guided by Huntington Town Historian Robert Hughes and Coltrane Home Founder Steve Fulgoni, this special tour will explore the home’s restoration progress and plans for a museum celebrating the Coltranes’ life and legacy. Preservation Long Island and the Caribbean American Poetry Association are thrilled to invite students in grades 6-12 across Long Island to share original poems as part of our 2025 Juneteenth Poetry Celebration in honor of Jupiter Hammon (1711-c. 1806), recognized as the first published Black American poet. Poems must be submitted in advance.
