The Brentwood Historical Society is leading a project to preserve the community’s exceptional Modern Times Schoolhouse! This unique octagonal structure served as a school between 1857 and 1907. Donated to the Brentwood Union Free School District in 1988, the building is listed on the State and National Register of Historic Places. Ongoing preservation work is supported by a grant from the Robert David Lion Gardiner Foundation and fundraising by the Brentwood Historical Society.
