Here are just a few of the projects your membership will help us to realize in 2022:

Jupiter Hammon Project Phase II: This next phase will expand upon the themes that emerged during Phase I by conducting stakeholder meetings and interactive workshops to further explore ways to reinterpret our Joseph Lloyd Manor House, including a future exhibition and audio-visual installation.

The Art of Edward Lange Project: A new publication initiative that begins with a survey of all extant work by the 19th-century genre painter Edward Lange. Immediate outcomes from this initial reconnaissance phase will be a publicly accessible digital database, a community scavenger hunt, and a pop-up exhibition of the artist’s Long Island work.

The Biennial Preservation Awards: A signature program, our Preservation Awards are presented in alternating years to recognize the outstanding achievements of individuals, organizations, and projects that demonstrate excellence in historic preservation including stewardship, restoration, adaptive reuse and design, advocacy, and partnership.

Your Preservation Long Island membership validates our mission and helps us to move forward in our efforts to advance greater understanding, celebration, and preservation of Long Island’s cultural heritage.

THANK YOU!
