Celebrate the launch of our newest book at a private historic home in Northport Village!
Join us for a sunset cocktail party as we toast the release of Promoting Long Island: The Art of Edward Lange, 1870–1889 at the magnificent Lowndes House (ca. 1890) overlooking Northport Harbor. Edward Lange knew the village well and produced numerous views of its beautiful Main Street.

About the Lowndes House, Northport

The private Queen Anne-style residence overlooking Northport Harbor was built ca. 1895 for Stanley H. Lowndes, a prominent regional figure and renowned oyster baron. In 2022, it was the recipient of a Preservation Award for the careful rehabilitation of its exterior and interior. Homeowners Paul and Catherine Herkovic also sponsored the property’s listing on the State/National Registers of Historic Places in 2019. We thank them for generously sharing their home with us.
