Join us for a special in-person evening with Barry Bordelon and Jordan Slocum—known widely as the Brownstone Boys—for an inspiring presentation, conversation, and book signing celebrating historic homes, modern living, and the art of thoughtful renovation.

The evening begins with a slide presentation highlighting the Brownstone Boys’ restoration work across Brooklyn, featuring striking before-and-after projects that showcase their signature approach: honoring the character of historic spaces while introducing clean, modern design for contemporary life. From their very first brownstone to complex renovations throughout the borough, Barry and Jordan share what they’ve learned about working with old buildings—their quirks, challenges, and undeniable charm.

A live Q&A will follow, drawing from their new book, For the Love of Renovating. Throughout the discussion, they will also reflect on what they love most about brownstones in particular—the craftsmanship, the layered histories, and the way these buildings continue to shape neighborhood identity.

This event also explores how authenticity, learning by doing, and respect for historic fabric have become central to their work and their brand. At a time when preservation must continue to evolve, the Brownstone Boys demonstrate how historic homes can remain relevant, livable, and exciting while still respecting the past.

The evening concludes with a book signing of For the Love of Renovating, with copies available for purchase.

Whether you’re a homeowner, preservationist, designer, or simply someone who loves old houses, this program offers inspiration and a fresh perspective on keeping historic spaces vibrant for the future.
