Now in its 18th year, the Wet Paint Festival will include new features for visitors—guided tours on art, nature, and history, live music, food, and children’s activities. As in previous years, it will provide the public with an opportunity to observe some of Long Island’s plein air painters as they capture the area’s historic and natural beauty. Through a partnership with Preservation Long Island, guides will also be on site to provide history tours of the Sherwood-Jayne House, one of the area’s most historic landmarks. The Four Harbors Audubon Society will lead tours on the ecology and wildlife of the area as well. And regional artists will lead guided tours on plein air painting.
Visitors may pre-order a gourmet picnic lunch from LevelUp Kitchen before the event, and have a delicious picnic delivered for them to enjoy in an idyllic farm setting! Orders must be placed through the Gallery North website.
