The Floyd Memorial Library in Greenport will host a panel discussion on the subject of historic preservation on the East End. Guest panelists include our Preservation and Advocacy Director, Tara Cubie, Maziar Behrooz, founding architect of mb_architecture, and the artist Sabina Streeter. The panel will be moderated by Greenport Mayor Kevin Stuessi.
The event is a tandem community program for their current exhibition — Port + Harbor: Preservation, Not Speculation by Sabina Streeter on view through February 4th. As well as discussing the East End’s architectural heritage, the panel will consider the place of new development in the villages of Greenport, Sag Harbor, and beyond. There will be time for public comment, so please bring any questions or suggestions you might have on this important topic.
