Dedicated to the late Huyler Held (1925–2012), a Preservation Long Island past president and its longest standing trustee, this exhibition featured many of Preservation Long Island’s most significant acquisitions. Ranging from eighteenth- and nineteenth-century masterworks of Long Island decorative arts to 20th-century ephemera, these objects and images tell multiple stories about Long Island’s cultural heritage and the traditions that define its sense of place.
