About the Event:

Nestled in the heart of Roslyn, the mill has undergone a major restoration effort. The four-phased renovation is expected to finish in 2027. Explore the meticulous restoration work and preservation efforts behind the iconic Roslyn Grist Mill. This virtual tour will take you behind the scenes to see how this important piece of Long Island’s history is being brought back to life. Get a first-hand look at the preservation process and learn about the mill’s technical challenges, historical significance, and exciting future.

After the virtual tour, join us for a discussion and questions with special guests:

  • Howard Kroplick, Former Town of North Hempstead Historian and current Roslyn Landmark Society Co-President
  • Jennifer Lister, Roslyn Landmark Society Project Director

Together, they will share insights into the journey of preserving this historic site, including the fundraising campaigns, community involvement, and technical hurdles faced during the project.
