We are deeply saddened by the passing of Anne Leiber, the long-serving House Administrator of Preservation Long Island's Custom House in Sag Harbor. For 39 years, Anne dedicated herself to this historic property, sharing her vast knowledge of history, welcoming visitors with engaging tours, and passionately promoting the house as a cherished local landmark and tourist destination.
Anne’s contributions to the community will not be forgotten, and she will be deeply missed. Our heartfelt condolences go out to Anne's family and her many friends in the Sag Harbor community.

Preservation Long Island is thrilled to announce that its has been awarded a Curatorial Internship Grant from The Decorative Arts Trust!
Our Peggy N. Gerry Curatorial Fellow will collaborate with Chief Curator & Director of Collections Lauren Brincat on a series of objectives aimed at cataloging Long Island furniture in public and private collections across the region, reexamining these objects from new perspectives, and enhancing their accessibility to 21st-century researchers and the public. This two-year, full-time position will be posted in early 2025.
