New Exhibition Opening July 2nd
Organized as part of Preservation Long Island’s 250th anniversary celebrations, Wood and Water: Furniture on Long Island, 1660–1880 will look at how Long Islanders across two centuries made and used furniture to engage with the wider world.

Steven Baltsas, our Peggy N. Gerry Curatorial Fellow, who will be with us through 2027, reflects on his first six months of the Long Island Furniture Project, which aims to increase knowledge of and accessibility to furniture made on Long Island, ca. 1660–1860.
