Portrait of Ephraim Niles Byram (1809-1881) Acquired for Preservation Long Island’s Collection
We are delighted to announce the acquisition of a portrait by Sag Harbor artist, Orlando Hand Bears (1811โ1851). Ephraim Niles Byram, was a prominent figure in the history of Sag Harbor and greater Long Island. The oil on canvas, painted in 1834, will be added to our permanent collection.
