This #NationalAuthorsDay, meet Lauren Brincat, our chief curator and director of collections and an author of our latest book, Promoting Long Island: The Art of Edward Lange, 1870–1889. At Preservation Long Island, Lauren organizes exhibitions and publications examining Long Island’s history and material culture and oversees special initiatives, such as The Art of Edward Lange Project and The Jupiter Hammon Project.
You can meet Lauren and the other authors of our latest publication on Saturday, November 16, at 3 PM, at our Author Talk & Book Signing event at the DNA Learning Center. This will be the only opportunity to meet all the authors after a moderated panel discussion and have your book signed by the contributors. Attendees will get 30% off the book’s price, and Preservation Long Island and Long Island Museum members can access a special discounted ticket price for the event.
