Join us in welcoming our 2025 Gardiner Young Scholar, Genevieve Barbee. Genevieve is a sophomore at Cornell University studying Urban and Regional Studies in the College of Architecture, Art, and Planning. A New York native, she brings experience working with HistoryForge and the National Archives, where she contributed to the digitization and preservation of early American records. She has also conducted field research on 18th-century built environments in New York City. Genevieve looks forward to engaging with Long Island’s historic places and supporting preservation efforts this summer.

We are grateful to the Gardiner Foundation for their generous support of this program.
