Colonial Day (suitable for grades 3 to 7)
The cost is $15-20 per student depending on activities
Preservation Long Island educators visit your school to provide a custom program on the Colonial period that may include the following activities:
- Crafting a cross-stitched panel, quilt square, or tin lantern.
- Visiting with a time traveler, spy or merchant and examining artifacts used during the Colonial period and Revolutionary War.
- Creating one’s own cordage (rope sample) and a presentation by a Colonial rope maker.
- A visit with a Colonial balladeer who sings and plays historic songs and instruments.
